Description

Homemade Bounty Bars are the perfect treat for coconut and chocolate lovers. A rich, creamy coconut filling coated in smooth milk chocolate (or a dairy-free alternative) makes for an indulgent, tropical-inspired snack. These bars are easy to make and ideal for satisfying your sweet tooth!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g desiccated coconut
  • 250g sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 500g milk chocolate (or dairy-free alternative)

Instructions

  • Mix: In a bowl, combine coconut, condensed milk, and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed.
  • Shape: Form the mixture into 8 bars and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  • Melt: Gently melt the chocolate until smooth.
  • Coat: Place bars on a wire rack over a tray. Pour melted chocolate over each bar, ensuring they are fully coated. Level with a skewer if needed.
  • Chill: Refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set, keeping chocolate warm.
  • Repeat: Flip bars and coat the other side with chocolate, then chill again.
  • Decorate: Use a skewer to create lines on top of the bars for decoration. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

  • For a firmer texture, you can freeze the bars instead of refrigerating them.
  • Feel free to use dark or white chocolate if you prefer a different flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them fresh.
