Ingredients
Scale
- 250g desiccated coconut
- 250g sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 500g milk chocolate (or dairy-free alternative)
Instructions
- Mix: In a bowl, combine coconut, condensed milk, and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed.
- Shape: Form the mixture into 8 bars and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Melt: Gently melt the chocolate until smooth.
- Coat: Place bars on a wire rack over a tray. Pour melted chocolate over each bar, ensuring they are fully coated. Level with a skewer if needed.
- Chill: Refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set, keeping chocolate warm.
- Repeat: Flip bars and coat the other side with chocolate, then chill again.
- Decorate: Use a skewer to create lines on top of the bars for decoration. Allow to set before serving.
Notes
- For a firmer texture, you can freeze the bars instead of refrigerating them.
- Feel free to use dark or white chocolate if you prefer a different flavor.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them fresh.
