Description

This Honey Garlic Pork Rice Bowl is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish that combines tender pork with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. Served over a bed of jasmine rice and topped with fresh broccoli, green onions, and sesame seeds, it’s a perfect meal for any day of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into bite-size pieces

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated

  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice

  • 1 cup broccoli florets

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

  • Add the pork tenderloin pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  • In the same pan, add sesame oil and sauté garlic and ginger for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Stir in soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar, and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  • Add the pork back into the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.

  • While the pork is cooking in the sauce, steam or blanch the broccoli until tender.

  • Serve the honey garlic pork over a bed of cooked jasmine rice, top with broccoli, green onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

  • You can substitute the pork tenderloin with chicken or beef for a different variation.

  • Adjust the amount of honey to your preferred level of sweetness.

  • If you like your sauce thicker, let it simmer a little longer.
