Description

This Honey Mustard Salmon is a quick, flavorful dish featuring tender, flaky salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce. Combined with garlic, lemon, and fresh dill, it’s the perfect weeknight dinner that’s both healthy and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ to 2 pounds (680g to 900g) salmon fillets

  • 1 ½ tablespoons honey

  • 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (about 3 teaspoons)

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (for searing or baking dish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, garlic, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice, dill, and a pinch of salt.

  • Preheat Oven:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon olive oil.

  • Marinate Salmon:
Place salmon fillets in the baking dish. Spoon or brush the honey mustard sauce evenly over the top. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb flavors.

  • Bake:
Bake salmon for 12–15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  • Serve:
Garnish with extra fresh dill or lemon slices if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute dried dill if fresh is not available—use 1 teaspoon dried dill.

  • This recipe works equally well with skin-on or skinless salmon.

  • Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad.
