Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 23 ripe peaches, sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix until smooth.
  • Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and arrange the peach slices on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
