This refreshing Lemon Basil Angel Hair Pasta is tossed with crispy capers and zucchini, creating a light yet flavorful dish perfect for any occasion.

- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup capers
- 1 zucchini, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add capers and fry until crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove capers from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add zucchini and garlic. Cook until zucchini is tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta, basil, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
- Serve the pasta topped with crispy capers and grated parmesan cheese.
Notes
For added protein, consider adding grilled chicken or shrimp.
