Description

This Lemon Garlic Herb-Crusted Salmon is a flavorful, easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for a healthy dinner. The fresh herbs and lemon zest create a delicious crust that complements the salmon beautifully.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Prepare the Salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Place the fillets on a parchment-lined baking sheet, skin-side down if applicable.
  • Make the Herb-Crust Mixture:
In a small bowl, combine the lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped dill, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mixing well until a thick paste forms.
  • Apply the Herb-Crust:
Spoon the herb mixture onto the top of each salmon fillet, gently pressing it down to ensure it adheres well.
  • Bake the Salmon:
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Optional Broiling:
For a golden, crispy crust, broil the salmon for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • Serve:
Remove the salmon from the oven and transfer the fillets to a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon wedges over the salmon for added flavor.

Notes

  • Fish Freshness: Use the freshest salmon fillets for the best flavor and texture.
  • Herb Variations: Feel free to substitute or add herbs like thyme or basil based on your preference.
