Description

A classic, flavorful meatloaf made with ground beef and Lipton Onion Soup Mix, topped with a sweet and tangy ketchup glaze. It’s an easy and satisfying comfort food perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs ground beef

  • 1/2 tbsp ground mustard

  • 1 cup ketchup (for mixture)

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 1/3 cup ketchup (for glaze)

  • 1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix

  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

  • 2 whole eggs

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground mustard, 1 cup ketchup, water, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, black pepper, eggs, and bread crumbs until just combined.

  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish or loaf pan.

  • In a separate bowl, mix 1/3 cup ketchup with brown sugar. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

  • Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for a less greasy loaf.

  • Letting the meatloaf rest helps it hold its shape when sliced.

  • You can line the pan with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
