- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the egg mixture, then coat with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider adding a tablespoon of grated Parmesan to the breadcrumb mixture. Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal!
