Description

This savory and slightly sweet Marry Me Salmon recipe features tender salmon fillets marinated in a delicious soy sauce and brown sugar blend. Grilled to perfection, it’s a dish so irresistible, it might just get you engaged!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil.
  • Place salmon fillets in a large resealable plastic bag and pour marinade over the top. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Preheat grill for medium heat.
  • Lightly oil grill grate. Place salmon on the preheated grill, and discard marinade. Cook salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a squeeze of lemon or lime juice before serving.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with roasted vegetables or a side of rice.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the salmon in a skillet or oven as an alternative.
