Description
A flavorful and spicy African-inspired soup made with tender meat, bell peppers, scotch bonnet peppers, and aromatic seasonings. Perfect for a warm, hearty meal on a cool day!
Ingredients

- 1 lb meat, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 3 scotch bonnet peppers, chopped
- 2 tbsp ground crayfish
- 1 tbsp dried fish
- 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 cups water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in meat cubes and brown on all sides.
- Add water, bell peppers, scotch bonnet peppers, ground crayfish, dried fish, cayenne pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes, or until meat is tender.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra heat, you can add more scotch bonnet peppers or cayenne pepper to taste.
- The dried fish adds a unique flavor, but it can be substituted with other dried seafood if preferred.
