These Mushroom Ricotta Toasts are the perfect combination of creamy ricotta and savory sautéed mushrooms on crispy whole grain bread. A quick and delicious dish for breakfast, brunch, or a light snack, topped with fresh basil for a burst of flavor!


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, sautéing until mushrooms are golden brown.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
  • Spread a generous amount of ricotta cheese on each slice of bread.
