Description

These classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are chewy, flavorful, and loaded with oats and plump raisins. Perfect for a cozy treat or a lunchbox snack, they’re a delightful combination of textures and tastes.

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing well.
  • Stir in oats and raisins.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add chopped nuts or use chocolate chips along with the raisins.
