- 1 package jumbo pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Extra mozzarella and Parmesan for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions and drain.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture and place them in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells.
- Sprinkle extra mozzarella and Parmesan on top, then cover with foil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the foil during the last 10 minutes for a golden top.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
Notes
For a bit of spice, add red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
