Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake is a delightful and creamy dessert that captures the refreshing flavor of a classic creamsicle. With a tangy orange twist and a rich, velvety filling, this cheesecake is perfect for any occasion or as a sweet summer treat.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

  • 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Orange zest, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  • Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the sour cream, and mix until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing just until incorporated.
  • Mix in the heavy cream, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
  • Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
  • For the topping, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the chilled cheesecake.
  • Garnish with additional orange zest before serving.

Notes

For a more intense orange flavor, increase the orange zest or add a few drops of orange extract. This cheesecake is perfect for any special occasion or as a refreshing summer dessert!
