- 8 oz white chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp orange extract
- Zest of 1 orange
- Orange food coloring (optional)
- 1 cup white chocolate chips, for coating
- Orange sprinkles, for decoration
Instructions
- In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped white chocolate, heavy cream, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
- Stir in the orange extract and orange zest. Add orange food coloring if you’d like a more vibrant color.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours until it firms up enough to scoop.
- Using a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes to help firm them up.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, tapping off excess, and return to the baking sheet.
- Decorate with orange sprinkles and refrigerate until the coating is set.
