Description

These creamy, orange-flavored truffles are reminiscent of the classic creamsicle treat. Coated in smooth white chocolate and decorated with orange sprinkles, they make for a delightful, bite-sized dessert perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp orange extract
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Orange food coloring (optional)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, for coating
  • Orange sprinkles, for decoration

Instructions

  • In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped white chocolate, heavy cream, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  • Stir in the orange extract and orange zest. Add orange food coloring if you’d like a more vibrant color.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours until it firms up enough to scoop.
  • Using a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes to help firm them up.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, tapping off excess, and return to the baking sheet.
  • Decorate with orange sprinkles and refrigerate until the coating is set.
  • Once set, enjoy your delicious Orange Creamsicle Truffles!

Notes

  • You can store these truffles in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator.
  • If you prefer a more intense orange flavor, you can increase the amount of orange extract.
