Description

Sweet and tender baked apple wedges coated in cinnamon sugar, served with a decadent caramel cream dipping sauce. These apple fries are the perfect treat for a cozy dessert or snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut the apples into wedges and place them in a large bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the apple wedges and toss to coat evenly.
  • Arrange the coated apple wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with melted butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are tender and golden brown.
  • While the apples are baking, prepare the dipping sauce by mixing together the caramel sauce and whipped cream in a small bowl.
  • Once the apple wedges are ready, serve them warm with the caramel cream dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, you can add a pinch of salt to the caramel cream sauce to enhance the flavor.
  • If you prefer a healthier option, you can reduce the amount of sugar or use a sugar substitute in the recipe.
