Description

  • This Pan-Fried Sea Bass with Chili & Greens is a flavorful, healthy dish that’s quick and easy to prepare. Crispy skin and tender fish paired with the heat of chili, garlic, and fresh greens make this dish a delightful treat for any seafood lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sea bass fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 cups mixed greens (such as spinach, kale, or chard)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat the oil: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the sea bass: Season the sea bass fillets with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet, skin side down. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Set aside: Remove the sea bass from the skillet and set aside.
  • Prepare the chili & greens: In the same skillet, add the chopped chili, garlic, and grated ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Wilt the greens: Add the mixed greens to the skillet and cook until they are wilted.
  • Serve: Serve the sea bass fillets on a bed of the chili and greens mixture.

Notes

  • You can adjust the heat by using more or less chili, depending on your spice preference.
  • This dish pairs well with a side of rice or quinoa for a fuller meal.
