Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Bake: Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan. If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!
