Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. ground beef

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Sauté the chopped bell peppers, onion, and garlic in olive oil over medium heat until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another 2 minutes to combine flavors.
  • Melt the softened cream cheese into the beef mixture over low heat, stirring until fully combined.
  • Optional: Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Top with shredded cheese, covering the beef mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
