- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Pepperoni slices (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 burger patties.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with a slice of mozzarella and cover to melt the cheese.
- Spread softened butter on the inside of the buns and toast them on a skillet until golden.
- Spread marinara sauce on the bottom half of each bun, place the burger patty on top, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and add pepperoni slices if desired.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot.
Notes
- Customize with your favorite toppings, such as fresh basil or olives.
- For a lower-carb option, serve without the bun.
