Description

This Potato Chip Chicken is a deliciously crispy and flavorful twist on baked chicken. Coated in seasoned flour, dipped in eggs, and crusted with crunchy potato chips, it’s a satisfying and easy-to-make main dish that’s perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Flour Coating:

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Toppings:

  • 23 large eggs

  • 2 cups crushed potato chips (low salt if preferred)

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, seasoning salt, paprika, and black pepper.

  • Beat eggs in a separate bowl.

  • Place crushed potato chips in another shallow dish.

  • Dredge chicken pieces in the flour mixture.

  • Dip floured chicken into the eggs.

  • Coat with crushed potato chips.

  • Arrange chicken on a greased baking sheet.

  • Drizzle melted butter over the top.

  • Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until chicken is golden and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).

  • Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use low-salt chips to reduce sodium.

  • Resting the coated chicken for 20–30 minutes before baking can help the crust stay on.

  • Works well with boneless or bone-in chicken pieces.
