Description

These delicious Pumpkin Bars are moist, spiced to perfection, and topped with creamy cream cheese frosting. A must-try treat for the fall season or any time you’re craving pumpkin!


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Cream cheese frosting (for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan (9×13 inches works well).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.

Notes

For added flavor, consider sprinkling some chopped nuts on top of the frosting or adding a pinch of nutmeg to the batter.
