    • ¾ cup canned pumpkin puree
    • 2 large eggs
    • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
    • ½ cup melted butter
  • For the Cream Cheese Filling:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • ½ cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, eggs, melted butter, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fill Donut Pan: Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
  • Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip.
  • Fill Donuts: Cut a small slit in each donut and pipe the cream cheese filling into the center.
  • Cinnamon Sugar Coating: Combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Brush each filled donut with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
