- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Mix the Cake Batter:
- In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves. Mix until well combined.
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar:
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Layer the Batter:
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
- Add Remaining Batter:
- Pour the remaining cake batter on top and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the cake batter.
- Create Swirls:
- Use a knife or a toothpick to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the cake batter, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Make the Glaze:
- While the cake is cooling, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Glaze the Cake:
- Once the cake has cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top.
