  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: Chopped pecans, dried cranberries, maple syrup, whipped cream

Instructions

  • Cook the Oats: In a medium saucepan, combine the oats and milk (or water) over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture begins to simmer.
  • Add Pumpkin and Spices: Stir in the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and the mixture has thickened to your desired consistency, about 5-7 minutes.
