- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until well blended. Press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add in the sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the red velvet layer in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a firmer texture, bake a bit longer, but be careful not to overbake as the center should remain slightly soft for the perfect texture.
- If you prefer, you can top with whipped cream or fresh berries for extra flavor.
- To make these extra festive, add a little food coloring to the cheesecake layer for a more vibrant contrast.
