- 2 1/2 cups crushed Oreo cookies
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Mix the crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter and press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the cocoa powder and a few drops of red food coloring (if using). Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly jiggly. Let cool completely, then top with sliced strawberries.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the cheesecake to firm up.
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in the batter.
- You can add more strawberries or other fruits as a topping before serving.
