Description

These Santa Hat Crispy-Treat Cheesecake Squares are a fun and festive holiday dessert that combines the classic crispy rice treat with a creamy cheesecake layer. Topped with a fresh strawberry “Santa hat,” mini marshmallows, and whipped cream, these delightful squares are perfect for your Christmas celebrations!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Red food coloring

Instructions

  • In a large pot, melt butter over low heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  • Remove from heat and add crispy rice cereal. Stir until well combined.
  • Press the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and let it cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  • Fold in whipped cream until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cheesecake mixture over the crispy rice layer in the baking dish.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Once chilled, cut the cheesecake into squares.
  • To make the Santa hats, place a slice of strawberry on top of each square. Add a small amount of whipped cream on top of the strawberry, and finish with a mini marshmallow.
  • Use red food coloring to draw a line around the base of the strawberry to resemble a Santa hat.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can use flavored whipped cream or add a little cinnamon to the cheesecake layer.
  • Make sure to chill the cheesecake for at least 2 hours to allow it to set properly before serving.
  • You can decorate with additional holiday sprinkles or powdered sugar for extra festivity.
