- 1 pound (450g) ground sausage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper (red or green)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
- 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook Sausage:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat.
- Add Vegetables:
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet with the sausage. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add Cheese:
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and the dip is creamy.
- Serve:
- Transfer the dip to a serving dish and serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or bread.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, use hot sausage or add diced jalapeños.
