Description

A vibrant and colorful salad featuring layers of fresh vegetables, bacon, and a creamy dressing, perfect for potlucks and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups chopped Romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup cooked peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onions
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large glass bowl or trifle dish, layer Romaine lettuce on the bottom.
  • Add cherry tomatoes, then shredded carrots.
  • Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the carrots, followed by cooked peas.
  • Add shredded cheddar cheese, then sliced red onions.
  • In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Spread the dressing evenly over the salad, covering all layers.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Chilling allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
