This vibrant Shrimp and Pepper Stir-Fry combines succulent shrimp with colorful bell peppers in a savory sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner served over rice.

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Add red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the shrimp in a bit of soy sauce before cooking.
