Description

A creamy and indulgent lasagna featuring succulent shrimp layered between rich white sauce and melted cheese. This seafood twist on a classic lasagna will be a hit at your dinner table!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the noodles: Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • Make the white sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Layer the lasagna: Spread a thin layer of white sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer with 3 lasagna noodles, shrimp, white sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers twice, ending with mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Top with Parmesan: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Let stand: Let the lasagna stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use cooked shrimp or sauté the shrimp in a little butter and garlic for extra flavor before layering.
  • Make sure to allow the lasagna to rest after baking to help it set and slice more easily.
  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a layer of ricotta cheese mixed with an egg between the noodles.
