- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Cooked white rice for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, toss the sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak in batches and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the garlic, ginger, bell peppers, and onion. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Return the steak to the pan, add beef broth, and stir to combine. Let the sauce thicken for 1-2 minutes. Drizzle with sesame oil and season with black pepper.
- Serve hot over cooked white rice.
