Description

Tender, juicy chicken breasts sliced and served in a rich and creamy butter sauce with garlic, thyme, and Parmesan cheese. A quick and delicious dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add chicken broth, butter, garlic, and thyme. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • To make it spicier, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when making the sauce.
