8 ounces uncooked pasta

1 pound smoked sausage, sliced (see notes)

1/2 medium onion, chopped

1 cup chicken broth

8 ounces cream cheese (block), softened

1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 cup corn (canned or cooked, cut off the cob)

Instructions

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add smoked sausage and cook until browned.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until onion is translucent and fragrant.

Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

Stir in softened cream cheese until melted and smooth.

Add Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), and corn. Stir well to combine.

Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
