Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of round bread
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 1 cup chopped artichoke hearts
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Cut the top off the loaf of bread and hollow out the center, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell on the sides and bottom. Set the top aside.
- Fill the hollowed-out bread with the spinach and artichoke mixture, pressing it down gently to pack it in.
- Wrap the filled loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden.
- Serve warm, and enjoy dipping!
Notes
- For a more festive presentation, use a round bread loaf with a holiday-themed shape, or add a garnish of fresh herbs on top.
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream for a healthier option.
- To make this dish ahead of time, assemble the bread and filling, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Bake as instructed when ready to serve.
