Description

Indulge in the hearty flavors of Steak and Cheese Garlic Toast, featuring tender, flavorful steak served on crispy, buttery garlic toast, topped with melty cheese. A perfect dish for a satisfying lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 4 slices of thick-cut bread (like sourdough or French bread)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from heat, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  • In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, parsley, and red pepper flakes if using. Spread this garlic butter evenly over each slice of bread.
  • Toast the garlic buttered bread in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Top each slice of garlic toast with steak slices and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider marinating the steak before cooking.
  • Pair with a fresh salad for a complete meal.
