Description

Indulge in these sticky, savory chicken wings that are perfect for any gathering. Coated in a flavorful garlic sauce, they’re sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed and separated into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Sticky Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Wings:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Toss the chicken wings with vegetable oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the Wings:
    • Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
  • Make the Sticky Garlic Sauce:
    • While the wings are baking, combine the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly.
    • Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue cooking until the sauce is thick and glossy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Toss and Serve:
    • Remove the wings from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the sticky garlic sauce over the wings and toss to coat thoroughly.
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispy wings, bake them on a wire rack placed over the baking sheet. Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by varying the amount of honey and brown sugar to your preference.
