Ingredients

- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Add the yeast mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
