- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Boil cabbage in a large pot of water for 5 minutes, then remove and let cool.
- In a bowl, mix together ground beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Peel off cabbage leaves and place a spoonful of the meat mixture in each leaf.
- Roll up the cabbage leaves and place in a baking dish.
- Mix together tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, then pour over cabbage rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version of this dish.
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the tomato sauce for a bit of heat.
- If you have leftover filling, it can be served on the side as a dish on its own.
