Description
Indulge in a luxurious dinner with this surf ‘n’ turf recipe featuring perfectly grilled ribeye steaks and succulent lobster tails, all enhanced with a rich garlic butter.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Steak:
- 2 ribeye steaks (8 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Lobster:
- 2 lobster tails
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Steaks:
Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt, pepper, dried rosemary, and thyme. Rub with minced garlic. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (medium-rare to medium is recommended). Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving. - Prepare the Lobster Tails:
Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top shell of each lobster tail down the center, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the lobster meat out of the shell, keeping it attached at the base, and place it on top of the shell. - Make the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the lobster meat. - Grill the Lobster:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the lobster tails on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes, basting with the garlic butter occasionally, until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through. - Serve:
Slice the rested steaks and arrange them on plates with the grilled lobster tails. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the lobster and steaks. Serve with your favorite sides, such as grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
