Description
A hearty, comforting casserole made with seasoned ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, sour cream, and plenty of melted cheddar cheese, all topped with crispy tater tots. This dish is perfect for a family dinner or a crowd-pleasing meal.
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

½ cup sour cream

1 small onion, diced

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, or any favorite spices
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings. Mix well.

Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

Transfer the beef mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.

Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the casserole, covering the entire surface.

Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
