Enjoy tender, flavorful meatballs simmered in a rich mushroom gravy that brings comfort food to a whole new level. Perfect served over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until tender. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir well.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, cooking until the gravy thickens.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or egg noodles, your choice.
Notes
For added flavor, you can sauté the onions along with the mushrooms.
