Ingredients
Scale
For the Cajun Seasoning:
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Surf and Turf:
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1.5 inches thick)
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine all the Cajun seasoning ingredients. Mix well and set aside.
- Rub the Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of the ribeye steaks and the shrimp.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
- In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and opaque. Stir in lemon juice.
- Slice the rested steaks and arrange them on plates. Top with the Cajun shrimp and drizzle with the garlic butter from the skillet.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
