Description

Combine the juicy richness of ribeye steaks with zesty Cajun shrimp in this Tremendous Cajun Surf and Turf recipe. This dish delivers bold flavors and a satisfying meal that’s perfect for special occasions or a decadent dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cajun Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Surf and Turf:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1.5 inches thick)
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine all the Cajun seasoning ingredients. Mix well and set aside.
  • Rub the Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of the ribeye steaks and the shrimp.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
  • In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and opaque. Stir in lemon juice.
  • Slice the rested steaks and arrange them on plates. Top with the Cajun shrimp and drizzle with the garlic butter from the skillet.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with a side of your favorite vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal. For an extra kick, add a dash of hot sauce or a sprinkle of extra Cajun seasoning!
