This Turkish-style pide is topped with a flavorful spicy lamb mixture, crumbled feta cheese, and fresh parsley, all nestled in a golden-brown crust. It’s finished with a creamy yogurt sauce that adds a refreshing contrast to the spiciness, making it a satisfying and aromatic dish perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground lamb over medium heat until browned.
  • Add the onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the feta cheese and parsley.
  • Roll out the pizza dough into an oval shape on a baking sheet.
  • Spread the lamb mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and olive oil.
  • Drizzle the yogurt sauce over the cooked pide before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the ground lamb with ground beef or turkey if preferred.
  • For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper or add a chopped chili.
