Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional)
- 1 cup caramel bits or soft caramels (melted)
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- Sea salt (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or spray it with non-stick spray. - Make the Crust:
In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust. - Layer the Magic:
Sprinkle the chocolate chips, chopped pecans, and shredded coconut evenly over the crust. Drizzle the melted caramel over the top, making sure to cover as much as possible. - Add the Sweetened Condensed Milk:
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire mixture. Use a spatula to spread it around, ensuring full coverage. - Bake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and bubbling. - Cool & Cut:
Let the bars cool completely to allow them to set. For best results, chill them in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before slicing. - Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle a touch of sea salt on top for that sweet-salty magic. Cut into squares or bars, and enjoy the gooey, crunchy, chocolatey turtle goodness!
