Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm non-dairy milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted vegan butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup ube jam
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the warm non-dairy milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  • Add the melted vegan butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the ube jam evenly over the dough, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  • Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  • Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • To make these rolls even sweeter, drizzle them with a glaze made from powdered sugar and non-dairy milk.
  • You can prepare the dough the night before and let it rise in the fridge overnight for a quicker morning bake.
