Whipped Feta with Tangy Olives is a creamy, flavorful dip that combines the rich, salty taste of feta cheese with the briny, tangy punch of olives. Drizzled with olive oil and topped with fresh oregano, it’s the perfect appetizer for any gathering. Serve it with pita bread, crackers, or fresh veggies for a delightful snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green olives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped (optional)
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Pita bread, crackers, or veggies, for serving

Instructions

  • In a food processor, combine feta cheese, cream cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • Transfer the whipped feta to a serving bowl and spread evenly.
  • Top with chopped kalamata and green olives, and sprinkle with fresh oregano, if desired.
  • Drizzle with olive oil before serving.
  • Serve immediately with pita bread, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge, but it’s best served fresh.
  • Feel free to use your favorite olives or try a combination of different varieties.
