Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Set aside 1/2 cup of the mixture for topping.
  • Beat egg, vanilla, and sour cream into the remaining mixture. Spread half of this batter into the pan.
  • Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over the batter, then top with cherry pie filling.
  • Spread the remaining batter and reserved crumb topping over the cherries.
  • Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
