Description

These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites are golden, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, packed with warm cinnamon-sugar flavor. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack, they deliver all the cozy flavor of a cinnamon roll in bite-sized French toast form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 thick slices of slightly stale white bread (1″/2.5 cm thick)

  • 2 large eggs (or 3 small eggs)

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1/4 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • 3 tablespoons butter, separated

  • Maple syrup, to serve

Instructions

  • Cut the slices of bread into bite-sized cubes.

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt.

  • In a separate small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

  • Dip the bread cubes into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.

  • Place coated cubes into the skillet and cook in batches until all sides are golden brown and cooked through, about 2–3 minutes per side. Add more butter as needed between batches.

  • Once cooked, immediately toss the warm French toast bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.

  • Serve warm with a generous drizzle of maple syrup.

Notes

  • Slightly stale bread holds up better to soaking and gives the best texture.

  • Try using brioche or challah bread for a richer flavor.

  • These bites are best served fresh but can be reheated in a skillet or oven.
